Vital and Non-Vital Systems Developments


Experience in:

  • Real-time systems development life cycle for delivery of safety-critical or high-integrity systems
  • Requirement analysis, design, implementation, integration, unit testing, debugging and bug fixing for micro-controller / micro-processor-based embedded products using C or Ada95 programming languages
  • RTOS such as VxWorks, Embedded Linux, low-level embedded software concepts, and hands-on experience in developing device drivers for various memory and IO peripherals
  • Industry-specific standards, sucha as CENELEC, AREMA, IEC and MIL


Experience in delivering protection and control products and solutions for the railway industry would be an added advantage.

Safety (RAMS) Engineering


Experience in :
FTA, FFA, FMECA, Common Cause Failure Analysis, and Maintainability Task Analysis
Reliability and maintainability of safety-critical or high-integrity systems
Testability Analysis, System Hazard, and Redundant Systems, such as 2002 and 2003
Industry-specific standards, such as CENELEC, AREMA, IEC, MIL, IEC, ISO, IEEE or CMM

Experience in delivering protection and control products and solutions for the railway industry would be an added advantage


Verification and Validation
Experience in :

  • 'V' cycle testing and test systems, including manual and automated testing of safety-critical or high-integrity systems, Railway Systems / Applications (specifically ERTMS/ETCS, CBTC, Interlockings)
  • V & V plans, specifications and cases: building simulated test harnesses using scripting languages such as Visual Basic, Python; UML-based use-case driven test modelling; use of protocol analyzer / sniffer tools
  • CENELEC standards EN 50126 / 8 / 9 or AREMA, CM  processes and IR / CR life cycles, and functioning of Change Control Board


Systems Engineering
Experience in:
Applied systems engineering practices in one or more mission-critical, systems / software-intensive application domains
Systems and safety engineering life cycles and configuration management processes: familiarity with hardware and software life cycles, associated tools, techniques and methodologies
Delivery of the enabling products in system development and maintenance via the systems engineering processes, supporting tools, and Infrastructure
Function and design recovery for existing systems, products, and Components to establish new specification baselines
Review of hardware and software life cycle artifacts during development and conduct of system integration tests
Investigation and resolution of system or product level technical issues in hardware development, software development, and system integration, cooperatively with safety engineering, verification and validation functions
Industry-specific standards, such as CENELEC, AREMA, IEC and MIL

Experience in delivering protection and control products and solutions for the railway industry would be an added advantage.


Hardware Engineering
Experience in:
Hardware board design with various micro-controller / processor / Power - PC architectures
High-speed FPGA design using VHDL (Xilinx and / or Altera) and performing simulations in ModelSim
Digital FPGA filter design and high - speed communications protocols (SFPDP, Ethernet, etc.) including MATLAB simulation.
Organizational and industry - specific standards, such as ISO, CMM, CENELEC and IE61508


Experience and academic credentials
Minimum 5 years experience with B.E. / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech / M.Sc / M.C.A. / P.hd with consistent academic record of above 60%

Positions are open across and mid and senior levels.
