HCL's well-established dedicated offshore development centre for a US based networking giant is rapidly expanding and is slated to be one of the largest ever IP ramp-ups. HCL is looking for IT professionals with an educational qualification in BE / B.Tech / MCA and with 4 - 12 years experience for the roles of Senior Engineers, Technical Leads and Technical Managers with the following skills :
Development
Must have had extensive hands-on experience in C programming
Development experience on a RTOS (VxWorks, Linux, Nucleus) based network switching / routing platform essential
- Must have worked on at least one of the following
- Layer 2 LAN protocols like MSTP, RSTP, PVST, LACP, VRRP
- Layer 3 protocols like RIP, OSPF, BGP, Multicast routing - PIM-SIM, PIM-DM, DVMRP, IPv6
- Layer 4 - 7 protocol optimization
- MPLS, FIPS
- High availability Features
- Management plane - SNMP, web server, CLI
- Development of networking ASIC drivers
Testing
Manual testing / Automation experience on network switching / routing platform essential
Must have worked on at least one of the following :
- L2 protocols like STP, RSTP, MSTP, VRRP, 802.1X, LLDP, LAG, LACP
- L2 protocols like RIP, OSPF, ISIS & BGP
- Multicast Protocols - IGMP, PIM - SM, PIM - DM, Multi - VRF, MSDP, IPV6 Multicast
- IPV6 - RIPng, OSPFv3, ISIS, BGP4+
- MPLS - LDP, MPLS-TE, IPoMPLS
- Network test tools like Spirent Test Center, IXIA, Smartbits
